Responsible use of artificial intelligence

Wenfei Rechtsanwälte AG ("Wenfei") uses modern technologies, including artificial intelligence applications ("AI"). Depending on the circumstances, AI applications may be used in particular for legal research, document review, drafting texts, creating summaries and translations, as well as for organizing and analyzing information.

The use of AI-based services does not replace the professional judgment, responsibility or supervision of our lawyers. Results created or supported by AI are reviewed and assessed by the responsible members of our team before being used as legal advice.

When selecting and using modern AI applications, we take particular account of professional secrecy, confidentiality, data protection and information security. We take appropriate measures to ensure that confidential information of our clients is not passed on to AI systems or their providers in an unauthorized manner. The specific protective measures depend on the respective AI application as well as the type and sensitivity of the information processed.

To the extent that the use of AI applications involves the processing of personal data or confidential information, the applicable data protection and professional law requirements are taken into account. Carefully selected applications

We only use AI applications that have been previously reviewed by Wenfei and approved for use in our law firm. In this review, we consider in particular the protection of confidential information and professional secrecy, data protection, data security and access possibilities.

Your right to object to the use of AI

If you do not wish AI applications to be used in connection with your mandate, you may notify us in writing at any time, preferably when the mandate is awarded or as soon as possible thereafter. We will take your request into account and, to the extent that this is reasonable and practicable under the given circumstances, take appropriate measures to avoid the use of AI in your mandate.

Communication with Wenfei or the awarding of a mandate does not oblige you to use AI applications yourself. We also recommend that our clients do not enter confidential information in connection with their mandate into publicly accessible AI applications unless this has been discussed with us in advance.
